7-year-old Girl Savagely Raped in Yamunanagar. Why? To Settle Score With Mother

Just a fortnight back, the heinous crime of gangrape and killing a woman by smashing her skull shook the very soul of the nation and we all had been crying over the futility of our laws for women safety in the country. The crime happened just a week after Supreme Court’s judgment upholding Nirbhaya’s assaulters capital punishment.
And, now a heart-wrenching crime of savagely sexually assaulting a mere 7-year-old girl!
 
In outskirts of Yamunanagar, a 7-year-old girl was heinously raped and brutalized by inserting coins, gravel, matchsticks into her body by her own neighbour, who confessed his crime before the police saying ‘he wanted to settle score with her mother.’ 
 
The doctors removed five matchsticks, one coin of Rs 5 denomination, four small gravels and six pieces of the cotton gauges from her body.
 
The parents rushed to the police when the little girl narrated her ordeal and upon medical examination, the doctors removed five matchsticks, one coin of Rs 5 denomination, four small gravels and six pieces of the cotton gauges from her body.  The girl was referred to PGIMS Chandigarh as her condition deteriorated.
 

The police has nabbed the accused and he is in Yamunanagar police custodySHO of Sadar police station Naresh Sharma said, “He has been arrested and during interrogation, he confessed to have resorted to this to settle score with the victim’s mother. Further investigations are in progress.”  A case has been registered against him at Sadar police station.

According to information, the incident occurred on Sunday when the parents of the victim, who worked in a local factory, were away to their place of work. The victim was alone at home and the accused took her out on the pretext of getting sweets for her and taking her to a secluded place brutalized her.

The incident comes within a fortnight of incident in Rohtak wherein a Sonipat resident was brutalized and murdered after gangrape by two residents of her area on May 9th. Her highly decomposed body was found from a plot in IMT Rohtak.
