Yup that pretty much sums up what I was going to say. University isn’t anything like how they describe in the movies.
So I decided to tell you things before you start to university :
STRESS and PROCRASTINATION become your best friends.
- SLEEP IS A THING OF THE PAST
Trying to sleep on time is the hardest. This is how basically how the sleep cycle goes.
Then we have something called the ” Procrastination nap”
If people even manage to sleep that’s a big deal. SO BASICALLY NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU ARE GOING TO MISS SLEEPING. SO KEEP SLEEPING PEOPLE.
2. ASSIGNMENTS GIVEN IN ADVANCE, DOESN’T DO IT TO THE LAST MOMENT
They do this funny thing where they give you the assignments about 4 months in advance and you only do it 2 days before ‘CAUSE WHY NOT. BUT in the meanwhile, other professors give you their assignments and BOOM YOU’RE BACK TO SQUARE ONE.
Also the assignments they give you, show you the heights of students creativity
3. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE MOTIVATION TO DO ANYTHING
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVERR HAVE MOTIVATITION. LIKE NEVEEEEEEEEEEEEERR.
4.YOU NEVER CHECK BANK BALANCE. YOU WAIT FOR IT TO DECLINE.
Hahahah one thing they dont tell you before joining college is, Life is full of surprises and so is your credit card. You never know what is going to happen next, will it get declined? Will I get surprised? Who knows. My advice is have zero expectations.
5. YOUR DORM ROOM WILL NEVER BE CLEAN, NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY
Another thing they dont tell you before you join college is however clean you try to keep it, it will never remain the same after 5 minutes.Clothes are always going to be spilling away
6. EATING HEALTHY IS OUT OF THE QUESTION.
All we think about is food food and food. Gymming ah that’s tiring. The only walks I do is the bakery shop. It’s honetssly impossible to keep in shape in college with a busy schedule.
7. KEEP UP WITH A GOOD SOCIAL LIFE IS HARDER THAN EXPECTED
Like super hard to maintain because college makes you so makes you so busy.
