Amid Surging Covid Cases, Stricter Restrictions imposed in Punjab from May 2

Amid rising Covid-19 cases and deaths in Punjab, state government has announced additional covid restrictions from May 2 to May 15, 2021.

1. All shops selling non-essential items to remain closed 

2. Nobody to enter state whether by Air/rail or road without negative covid report or vaccination certificate (atleast one dose) over two weeks old

3. All govt offices and banks to work with 50 percent staff

4. All four wheelers to ply with 2 persons. Vehicles carrying patients to hospital exempted 

5. No pillion riders on scooter or motorcycle unless family/living in same house

6..Gatherings capped at 10 for wedding/ funeral.

7. Religious places to be closed by 6 pm

8. RT-PCR test for street vendors
