Following declining Covid-19 positive cases and positivity rate in Chandigarh, the UT Administration has decided to reopen schools. Schools will start functioning physically from July 19, 2021 for Classes 9 to 12 subject to parents’ consent. Online mode of teaching will continue.
Coaching institutes can reopen from July 19, 2021 with condition that all the eligible students & staff are administered at least one dose of vaccine.
Following comes to effect from July 14, 2021:
• Cinema halls & spas are also allowed to function with 50% capacity.
• Museums and Rock Garden also allowed to be allowed.
• The number of persons allowed for social gatherings also increased from 100 to 200 persons or 50% of capacity of the hall whichever is less subject to the condition that all eligible guests and staff must have received atleast one dose of vaccine or have negative RT-PCR test report of last 72 hours.
