Decreasing Covid-19 cases in the city has increased hopes of normal days ahead and February is synonymous with much-awaited Rose Festival.
Covid-19 pandemic had made last year’s festival only a symbolic event but not this year’s. The Municipal Corporation has decided this time it will a full-fledged gala topped with multiple events, spanning over three days. Rose competition, traditional dance competitions, flower cutting and arrangement contests, dog show and floral hat competition are expected to be held. A selfie point will also be there.
Moreover, chopper ride is also likely to be there.
This year Rose Festival is likely to be in first week in March to coincide with “Iconic Week” celebrated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
