Rejoice! Pre-monsoon Showers Expected From June 19

Yesterday, it rained and we had the most beautiful morning in a long time. However, again by noon the sun was brutally harsh on us with its sweltering heat. NOT ANYMORE!

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted pre-monsoon showers to drench Chandigarh from the coming Monday, i.e. June 19. Ah! Chandigarh will be in its pristine glory. But, rain showers will be accompanied by thunderstorms as these pre-monsoon showers are going to be due  to Western Disturbances.

Yesterday’s rainfall brought down the temperature by 5ºC to 35.5ºC from Wednesday 40.1ºC.

Don’t forget to go on a drive or even better, bike ride in the rain.
