PECFest’19, Punjab Engineering College’s inter-collegiate festival embarked its beginning on November 8, 2019.
The festival witnessed an overflowing bucket of talent right from soulful duet performances to drama rama, from delightful art to street dance that got the temperatures of the room high, we witnessed it all. The participants incorporated the Punjabi culture and folklore in their solo singing, nukkad natak, rang Punjab de, groovz, and bhangratheque! The fashion show was a surreal one. It was a treat for the eyes! A great line up of celebrities graced the event such as Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gaurav Sen, Ankita Arya, and Col. D S Cheema, Param Singh, Shivam Kumar, Vivek Atray, Neha, and Esha Rana were six speakers for the interactive talking library.
The second day was dominated by media and content events that saw participants bringing out their smart play of words. There was an abundance of talented artists and craftsmen that left the crowd awestruck. The evening unveiled a grand performance by Guru Randhawa. The popular Punjabi songwriter, music composer and singer, is a favourite amongst the youth. During the concert, the arena throbbed with an energetic and intense atmosphere, filled to the brim as the crowd danced and belted out tunes of his popular hits like ‘High Rated Gabru’, ‘Slowly Slowly’, ‘Lahore’, ‘Ishaare’ and many more.
The third day was filled with energy, vigour and team spirit as the participants were all game to dive into an array of workshops. It was a pleasure for the participants as all came with fun twists and turns. The drone challenge provided students with an opportunity to fabricate their own wireless controlled drone. They had to pass through various obstacles in order score point in minimum possible time.
PECFest’19 organised by the students of Punjab Engineering College was a great success and took over the whole of Chandigarh by a feeling of fun and competition by celebrating all kinds of talent.
