Panjab University Rose Festival 2018 was More Than Blooming Roses

Panjab University’s Rose Festival is one of the major attractions of the coveted varsity. 2018’s was the 9th edition of the festival which started on February 9 and ended on February 11.

The Prof RC Paul Rose Garden, spread in 3.5 acres, was blooming with 198 variety of roses grown in 250 flower-beds with total of 2,800 rose plants.

There were whole horde of activities, contests and competitions were organised for students from schools, colleges and within PU. All three days, the competitions ranged from poetry recitation, fashion shows, rangoli, singing, slogan writing, dance, collage making, face painting and many more competitions.

Prof Meenakshi Malhotra, DUI, PU inaugurated the PU Rose Festival on February 9. The theme of the festival for this year was ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’.
