Following the increasing complaints of parents against undue school fees hike amid COVID-19 pandemic by private schools in Chandigarh, UT administration has ordered no hike in school fees for 2020-21 session.
UT Administration has issued orders:
- No increase in school fee for the year 2020-21 without Chandigarh Administration’s approval.
- No change in the tuition fee charged. It will be same as was charged in the year 2019-2020. No hidden charges will be included.
- All pvt schools shall display details fee structure (especially tuition fee), as per the provisions of sec 5(c) of Fee Regulation Act, 2016 on their website and will also intimate the same to the administration on or before June 15.
Also, it was made clear by UT Adviser Manoj Parida that schools will have to adjust fees in the coming months of those parents who have already paid the hiked fee.
