Winter adventurous sports.
What comes to your mind when you read this? Skiing, sledging, hill climbing, ice skating…
What if we tell you there’s another fascinating and a real ‘cool’ stuff to do? Staying in an IGLOO.
You don’t have to travel all the way to Arctic to experience what it feels like to live in a cave made of snow in sub-zero temperatures. You can do this in Manali itself. An adventure travel company, Keylinga Himalayan Adventures, brings to the daredevils a guided trip to the Hemta/Sethan valley (altitude more than 14000 ft), where they have built two igloos amidst snow clad environs, Manali Igloo Stay.
manali Igloo Stay is India’s first igloo stay destination.
ABOUT THE IGLOOS
The igloos can accommodate two inhabitants who don’t mind the frosty temperatures. What adds to the adrenaline rush is the plethora of winter sports here like snow sledging, skiing, snow shoeing, snow boarding.
No person can stay more than two nights in these igloos (that’s the maximum your brave bones can take). Or you can choose to spend one night in the igloo and another at a hotel.
Wait, now if you are thinking that this adventure will cost you a fortune, well, here’s a surprise. The packages range from INR 1500 – INR 7600 (per head).
The bookings are open for January to March winter season now.
You can see all the packages to find the one that best suits you.
2 nights/ 3 days (From INR 7,699): Includes a one-night accommodation at the Hotel Keylinga Inn in Manali. Two nights stay in the igloo, all meals, all ski equipment (skis, poles, boots, clothing, snow gloves, goggles, medical kit). Also includes, transportation from Manali hotel to the igloo campsite and back.
One Night Igloo Stay (INR 5,500): One-night stay on twin sharing basis in the igloo with barbeque and bonfire in the evening.
Day Trip – Igloo Camp (INR 1,500): Includes a day trip to igloo campsite with lunch, skiing lessons and light winter activities.
