Guidelines for Film Shooting During Unlock-2 Period Issued by Punjab Government

The Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday approved guidelines to be followed for shooting of films and music videos during Unlock-2 period in the State with certain conditions and strict adherence to COVID safety protocols.

In response to the request from a delegation of the film/music industry, which approached the state government to seek permission for shooting of films/music videos, comprehensive guidelines were issued.

Process to be followed

The applications for grant of permission for shooting would need to be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner and complete details of the location, number of days and timings for which such permission is required must be given. The Deputy Commissioner would, after consulting the police authorities, grant the permission and a copy of the permission shall be endorsed to the Commissioner of Police/SSP for information and necessary action.

Duration of the shooting

It should be restricted to minimum possible time and not more than 50 persons should be present. 

Wearing of masks and screening of persons

Wearing masks is compulsory for all except for those who are in front of the camera and shooting would commence only after the persons involved are thermally scanned and found asymptomatic.

Social Distancing has to be followed

Social distancing has to be maintained except for those who are being filmed and the shooting venue would have sanitizers or soap and water and the members present should frequently wash their hands.

Crowd control 

Adequate number of view cutters and enforcement of crowd control by security personnel would be ensured.
