Consistency is perhaps the most underrated statement when it comes to celebrating music and the love for beer. Like every year, this year too, the fourth edition of ‘Gaana Lager n Barrel Festival’ at The Village, Chandigarh, was a host to the most rocking and vivacious musical time ever. Entering the maze-like walk-through of this magical place, it felt exciting. The entrance adorned with a breathtaking structure from recycled beer bottles. Hours of hard work would have been put in to creating such an exquisite masterpiece.
A weekend chilling amidst familiar music; endless craft brews, beer-friendly delicacies that are always exciting and much more. All this made us realize, “Dude! We are in the right place!”
The highlight of the Gaana Lager n Barrel Festival was undoubtedly the Beer Garden. It was all decorated very uniquely with the bar roof made of hay. Beer was available for tasting and purchase.
And, once you had enough drinks, there was a selection of quirky games to take part in. These were being conducted around the arenas. The fancy photo booth promised to be a fun affair. Beer enthusiasts would capture memories of this place using the quirky props provided.
Big Names. Bigger Performances
With artists offering Bollywood, pop, hip-hop, funk, folk, rock, electronica, fusion, soul and much more between them, there was fantastic music on the table for every listener. Friends sitting on mats in front of the stage while sipping fine beer enjoyed live performances by Punjabi duo B Praak & Jassie Gill, popular artists like Darshan Raval, Virdas Alien Chutney, Parvaaz, Lagori, Mellow D, Akull, The Yellow Diary, Hip-Hop artist Divine and more!
This year was bigger and better, setting the scene with glittering lights, melodious music, fun activities and yes, of course, bottles brimming with beer!
