Chandigarh is celebrating today its last day of its 5-day long celebration of 51 years of the city beautiful’s foundation as an independent Union territory and the capital of both Punjab and Haryana on November 1, 1966 as Chandigarh Establishment Day.
The event kicked off on November 1 proudly inaugurated by Jitender Yadav, MC Commissioner at the Parade Ground in Sector 17 and hence began the five day endless celebration of history, lifestyle, intellectual culture and inspiring stories born in Chandigarh.
Apart from the musical extravaganza by the musical maestros like Gurdas Maan, Nooran Sisters, Zeeshan, Manak Ali and many more, the gala event has been studded with lavish feast of scrumptious food and lifestyle exhibition.
The lifestyle exhibition, Chandigarh Shopping Kaleidoscope, truly mirrors the taste and choice of the residents. From real estate tycoons proudly showcasing their next housing projects, there are stalls for home décor and fashion.
The visitors are drooling over the lavish feast of spectrum of flavours at the Chandigarh Establishment Day. Rightly titled, ‘Food On My Plate – A Food Festival’, the flavours you get on your plate to savour on are a treat treat for any foodie. Specially curated by Ashish Chopra, a renowned culinary historian, author and television host, he has literally weaved magic with spices.
Apart from this, Chandigarh’s own flavours like Bansal’s Amritsari kulcha, Amrinder Kochar are there along with Chaayos, Barista, Taco Bell, Ronie, Burger King, just to name a few.
With the Chandigarh Administration as an associate partner with Showbizz Celebrations Pvt. Ltd., this event is being held to connect the youth of the city with its rich history of success and development.
