An endless swirling beeline before banks and ATMs are a common sight across India. It becomes all the more distressing when you have to run pillar to post only to find which ATM has cash available. What if I tell you that you can have this information before you step out of your home?
The company CMS Info Systems manages around 55,000 ATMs in the country. Most of the well-known banks like SBI, Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, Axis Bank, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra and ICICI avail its services. The CMS has developed a portal and a mobile application that provides you real time information on which ATM in your city has cash available.
You just need to log on to the portal http://atmfinder.cms.com/atmfinder/ATMStatus.aspx and select your state and city, the whole list of ATMs with the cash available will appear on your screen. Select the one nearest to you and withdraw your cash.
The same steps are to be followed on your installed mobile app, ATM Finder.
The search engine giant, Google has come forward to mitigate our problems to an extent. On the homepage of http://google.co.in/ itself, it has added a button Find a ATM near you, below the search bar.
Click here and you will find all the ATMs near you, with the distance and the directions, but it provides no information on whether there is any cash available in it. For that you have to rersort to http://atmfinder.cms.com/atmfinder/ATMStatus.aspx.
