Post the unfortunate death of a toddler, Aayush, in Sector 18D in Chandigarh due to multiple dog bites, Chandigarh municipal corporation announced compensation of Rs 3 lakh to the bereaved family but due to absence of any policy of compensation to dog bites victims, the compensation was delayed for administration’s approval.
