Country’s First Electric Bus Is Finally On Roads Commercially in Himachal Pradesh

Next time you visit the ethereal Manali or Rohtang, don’t miss the experience of the ride on the electric bus, India’s first ever. 

The electric bus has official made its commercial debut and is now available for public transport. 

Earlier in August this year, the 12-meter low Floor AC electric bus from Goldstone-BYD successfully completed the trials with Chandigarh Transport Undertaking. 

The company would be supplying 25 electric buses to Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation. The Company has also received order of 6 electric buses to Brihan Mumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST).

ABOUT THE ELECTRIC BUS:

Manufacturer: Goldstone Infratech Limited, more popularly known as Goldinfra in tie-up with BYD Auto Industry.

♦ Completely MADE IN INDIA & certified by ARAI after extensive testing.

Trials: 

• Successful trials at a steep gradient and over 13,000 feet altitude for the first time in the country.

• The company has conducted trials in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Rajkot.

• 25+1 seater Goldstone eBuzz K7

• zero-emission electric bus

• Can travel for up to 200 kms sin a single charge.

• Can be recharged in less than 4 hours and supports fast charging technology.

• Use Lithium Iron Phosphate battery which ensure longer lifetime, better power density and is safe due to Chemical and thermal stability.

 • Front and rear air-suspension to offer comfortable rides to the commuter. 

 

The company would be supplying 25 electric buses to Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation. The Company has also received order of 6 electric buses to Brihan Mumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST).

It’s still not known when the electric buses hit the Chandigarh roads.
