Come August, E-Sampark Centres In Chandigarh Won’t Accept Cash Payments Above Rs. 2000.

The residents will have to resort to cashless options like debit and credit cards, demand draft, cheque or online transaction on the website http://sampark.chd.nic.in.

The move is intended to encourage cashless transaction in the city. 

On transactions through debit and credit cards, cheque and demand draft, no transaction charges will be levied, however on online payments GST at 18% will be charged.

Talks are on with the banks to waive off online transaction fee.
