On Monday, Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator announced that private laboratories had been permitted to pick up samples of COVID suspected patients from home.
Private laboratories in the city are also allowed to collect RT PCR and antigen samples from home.
Only 3 private labs conducting tests
SRL Diagnostic Laboratory, Atulaya Healthcare and Metropolis Healthcare, all located in Sector 11 are the only labs conducting RT-PCR testing in the UT.
These labs have also started antigen and antibody tests.
Different modes & prices
Atulaya Healthcare is providing for COVID testing in three modes- RT PCR test for Rs. 2000, antibody test for Rs. 999 & antigen test for Rs.1500.
SRL Laboratory conducts an antigen test for Rs. 1200.
Both these labs will collect samples from home along with collection from sites.
Metropolis Healthcare has no kiosk set up in the city, so it will collect samples from home only.
