Chandigarh Forest Department starts Free Home Delivery of Plants

To encourage greening of Chandigarh, the UT Forest and wildlife department has started ‘Van vibhag aapke dwar’ or ‘Forest department at your doorstep’. Under it, free home delivery of plants has been started during this rainy season.

• No pre- registration or formal application is required.

  • • A person may take upto 5 plants of his/her choice.
  • • The saplings/plants are delivered free of cost.
  • • Three vans are designated for the distribution of the saplings to the public.
  • • The timings of door-to-door distribution of plants/saplings is from 12 July 2021 to 29 July 2021 between 9 am to 6 pm.
