Chandigarh | CTU Bus Fares Increased From Today

Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) buses fares’ have been increased. The increased fares will implement from today.

On March 8, the UT administration had taken a decision to increase the fare due to CTU running in losses from past one decade.

  • Rate of monthly bus pass for school and college students using non-AC buses remains unchanged at Rs 100.
  • However, rates of other daily and monthly passes have been hiked.

OLD BUS FARE RATES:

DISTANCE NON-AC AC
Up to 3 km ₹ 5 ₹ 10
3-10 km ₹ 10 ₹ 15
Above 10 ₹ 15 ₹ 20

 

NEW BUS FARE RATES

DISTANCE NON-AC AC
Up to 5 km ₹ 10 ₹ 15
5-10 km ₹ 15 ₹ 20
Above 10 ₹ 20 ₹ 25

 

Last time, the bus fares’ were increased in 2012.
