Chandigarh CAT results 2017 have been simply awesome. 16 Students have managed to score above 99 percentile. But that’s not all as one of these, Pramod Beri, from GGDSD College, Sector – 32, secured the perfect score. He is one of the 20 students who managed to get the 100 percentile in Common Admission Test (CAT), conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM).
The results were declared on Monday. Apart from Pramod, 15 other students have scored above 99 percentile.
Boys Outshine Girls in the Exam
As per the data compiled by CAT coaching institutes, Times and Bulls Eye, boys outshone the girls. 14 boys were in the top 1%. Given below is the list students along with their CAT scores –

Other Stats Revealed From the Chandigarh CAT Results 2017
- Around 2 lakh student had appeared for the Examination. 8500 were from the Tricity.
- Students with commerce and science backgrounds have started performing well in the exam.
How Students Get Admission into the Premier Management Institutions
The top 3 IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata) have a cut-off of 99%. IIMs in Amritsar, Rohtak and Sirmaur accept students with a score above 97.5%. University Business School(UBS) at PU has a cut-off of 90%.
Students who have the required score are called for Essay Writing and Interview round in February and March. The final list of candidates is made by assessing the students through a composite score which includes student’s previous academic performance, extra curricular achievements and Statement of Purpose (SoP).
The students passing out from top management colleges in the country get a handsome package of ₹ 12-30 Lakhs.
