Ordered iPhone 8, Got Box Full of Soap Pieces Instead. Chandigarh Boy Duped By Delivery Boy

Imagine yourself shelling Rs. 70,000 from your pocket to own your new pride iPhone 8 and instead get soap pieces in the box…

Close to a cardiac arrest, right.

This is no fictionary situation here, but happened to a Chandigarh boy.

Ankush Wadhwa, originally from Malout and presently residing in a rented accomodation in Sector 19 ordered an iPhone 8, 64 GB Gold online through TATA Clique. He made the payment online through his credit card. On October 7, he received a home delivery of a parcel but to his horror it had no iPhone. It was a box of Moto G phone with soap pieces.

Furious Ankush chased the delivery boy, Sunil Kumar (resident of Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh ), nabbed him and took him to the police. The accused confessed his crime of having opened the parcel and replacing it with a box full of soap pieces.

A case under Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Sector-19 police station, Chandigarh. The local court has sent him to two-day police remand on Monday.
