After much delays, the maiden direct flight to Bangkok from Chandigarh will finally take off on December 11.
This time the announcement of the flight seems final as the cause of delays has been uprooted. Air India has got a new aircraft to fly to Bangkok.
Chandigarh-Bangkok Flight Details
Air India’s local station manager R K Negi revealed that the first flight schedule:
– Land at Chandigarh Airport on December 11 at 9.20 am
– Same flight would depart for Bangkok at 2 pm and would arrive in Bangkok at 8.15 pm.
– The inaugural fare for a round trip is around Rs 22,000.
– The flight would operate thrice a week.
Delays after delays
Long time ago, Air India announced the flight to Bangkok and in May this year, it even appeared in the winter schedule of the Chandigarh International Airport. But the flight failed to take off.

Now with the wrinkles ironed out for smooth execution of plannned flight, Chandigarh-Bangkok flight is definitely on cards.
