Keeping in mind the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs for the Unlock 3.0 period and the rise in COVID cases in the city, the Chandigarh administration today issued guidelines to be followed in Chandigarh.
The rules will come into force from 1st August, 2020. It has decided not to lift night curfew.
What the new guidelines say?
According to the new guidelines,
- Night curfew will remain in force from 10 PM to 5 AM in the city.
- Eating outlets to remain open till 9 PM & Other shops to remain open till 8 PM
- Odd-even schemes will be reintroduced in congested markets.
- Sukhna Lake will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
In reply to questions posed by a user on Twitter, the UT Chandigarh Advisor, Manoj Parida, clarified that the time to open the shops will remain as 10AM.
Gyms And Yoga institutions to open from 5th August
A user asked the Advisor on Twitter whether gyms will open from 5th August to which he replied in affirmative and will be followed with SOP issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
