Centre Bans 59 apps, Mostly Chinese, Including TikTok

In a press release issued by the central government, 59 apps, mostly-Chinese, have been banned. Amongst the banned are social media apps Tiktok, WeChat and browser UC Browser.

Reason given is that they were prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity, and defence of India.
