PEACOCK PARK
This secluded place which is a bliss for nature lovers is located in Sector 39. They can see around 50 different types of Peacocks at one place. This is park is usually closed for visitors but you can get inside after taking permission from the Forest & Wildlife Department, U.T., Chandigarh.
BUTTERFLY PARK
Another one from the Forest & Wildlife Department, this attractive garden is located in Sector-26 near the Chandigarh College of Engineering. It has nearly 25 species of butterflies and has beautiful nature trails and colorful flowers.
HIBISCUS GARDEN
This is a petite garden adjoining Alliance Francaise de Chandigarh, Sector-36. The garden is famous for its hibiscus shrubs. There are around 40 varieties of hibiscus in the park. It is quite famous among students. Also, there is a small Verka booth near the garden. It has the cheapest and tastiest goodies to curb our hunger.
CACTUS GARDEN
It is Asia’s biggest garden dedicated to endangered Cacti species. Situated in Sector-5 Panchkula, the garden is house to 400 different species. Also, there is a beautiful Bonsai collection on display. This is like a mesmerizing paradise in Panchkula which adds up to the beauty of Tricity.
TERRACE GARDENS
Do you know the famous Terrace Gardens in Chandigarh is home to the “Martyr’s Pillar“? Yes, this beautiful garden also pays tribute to the brave soldiers of Chandigarh. Also, it is a regular host for the famous “Chrysanthemum Show” every year.
