Being 20 is difficult. It’s like you enter the kingdom of adulthood without having any idea how it works. Moreover, when you belong to the category of independent superwomen, this world just makes it their duty to annoy you even more.

In your journey of enlightenment, you come across various kinds non-sense stuff which makes you wonder whether you’re still in the sixties!

  • WOMEN CANNOT DRIVE

Do not! I say do not judge our driving skills based up on this common myth. We can drive as well and as efficiently as our male counterparts and we are as much prone to accidents as men.

NO! Every time we are angry or sad doesn’t mean you men get to use this hormone card on us. We do have actual emotions & we do have actual problems like family and finances.

Every time you’re seen talking to a guy, that neighbour aunty or those interfering friends need to know your relationship status. C’mon guys! Give me a break. A guy and a girl can just be friends. Get over with your 90’s shows already!

This is something I guess all the girls are just tired of hearing. Not just our parents but just everyone at the end of the day instead of understanding our ambitions just consoles us like, “agar kuch ni bna toh shaadi kra denge teri!” Yes, this how girls are motivated to work their ass off and prove themselves.

  • “SHE DRINKS? SHE IS A BAD INFLUENCE ON OUR SOCIETY!”

All through high school we studied that smoking & drinking is harmful for health. But, I guess they should have added a chapter on how this is extra bad when girls have an occasional drink or two while their male counterpart can get wickedly drunk and everybody is like “he’s young! Let him enjoy.”

We can all agree Indian society has progressed a lot but these things are still there. I guess we were wired this way. I think it high time we change our perceptions about all the women in the world and honestly “cut them some slack, folks!”
